Mr. Manuel Celestino Lavayen specializes in management consulting and international development having worked with over 35 governments across three continents for 15 years to strengthen their national systems. Experienced in engaging donors and partners to attain collective impact and developing evidence-driven and context-specific policies and strategies to lead supply chain and digital transformational change. Recently, as the UNICEF Supply Division | Data Analytics & System Strengthening Coordination Lead, he has: • Worked with partners to shape the development of the Gavi Supply Chain Digital Transformation Strategy. • Developed relevant technical guidance (internal and external) to increase preparedness levels to roll out vaccines, enhance supply chain resiliency levels and manage inventory levels proactively. • Developed the organisation’s Supply Chain Strengthening Approach and methodology to guide our +170 country offices throughout their journey to ensure all children thrive every day, everywhere. He combines his Engineering background and Lean Manufacturing expertise, with extensive data analytics and policy/strategy development experience to attain collective impact by leading and coordinating beneficiary-centred development and transformative workstreams with donors and partners.
