Giorgi has been working with government agencies in developing countries in the transport sector as an individual consultant for projects funded by various International Financial Institutions, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. He manages the implementation of new initiatives and various pilot projects in the road sector of Georgia. These projects are related to road asset management, performance-based contracting (PBC), intelligent transport systems (ITS), road tolling strategies, road data collection systems, road safety assessment (iRAP), overload control (WIM system), drone technology, etc.. He is a Managing Board member of NSDI (National Spatial Data Infrastructure) development and has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems. He has conducted numerous workshops and capacity building trainings on GIS, Highway Development and Management Model (HDM-4), planning, and economic/financial analysis for government agency personnel in developing countries.
