Johanna Fihman is a Technical Officer in Immunization Vaccines and Biologicals Department at WHO. She manages the Market Information for Access project (MI4A) –launched by WHO in 2018 which provides a global perspective on vaccine markets. In particular, MI4A aims to identify and address affordability and shortage issues for self-funding and self-procuring countries that are mostly excluded from international support. Prior to her current position, Johanna was leading the secretariat of the Global Task Force on Cholera Control at WHO and before that worked at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance on the Japanese Encephalitis, Cholera and Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccines programmes. She holds a Masters Degree in International Development.
