Renewable Energy Investment Ecosystem in Central Asia

On 22 January 2025, the CAREC Institute, in collaboration with IsDB and ICDT, successfully hosted a Policy Dialogue and Country Consultation on the Renewable Energy Investment Ecosystem Study. The study presents a comprehensive framework with 15 key indicators that shape renewable energy investments, providing insights into factors influencing investor decisions. It also proposes an investment promotion program for a pilot country in Central Asia.

The virtual session attracted 70+ participants, including 30+ representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Key attendees included officials from Ministries of Energy and Investment, representatives from investment promotion agencies and green funds, as well as private sector stakeholders.
